The Single Inline Memory Module(SIMM) connects to the mainboard through the goldfinger. The front and back sides of the memory module are equipped with goldfingers. Goldfingers can provide different signals on both sides. SIMM is a memory structure in which both goldfingers provide the same signal. DIMM(Dual In line Memory Module) is similar to the SIMM, except that the two ends of the DIMM are interconnected. They transmit signals independently. Therefore, more data signal transmission needs can be met.
